Abstract
The research work titled "Analysis of entrepreneurial approach and performance of small businesses in Ilorin metropolis" The objective of the study include. To ascertain if creativity and innovation increases profitability of small business. To examine whether entrepreneurial knowledge increases productivity of small business. To ascertain the extent of which creativity and innovation decreases small business profitability of small business. The instrument for data collection is a well structured questionnaire to curtail respondent from derailing from the instructions: secondary data for the study were obtained from the internet and related journals. The population of the study consist if some selected small business in Ilorin Kwara state, which are (40). The researchers adopts the taro yamane formula and the sample size for the case study was (36). Multiple regression was employed in analyzing the data collected and with the aid of statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 20. This study examines analysis of entrepreneurial approach and performance of small business in Ilorin metropolis, and the variables used for the independent construct(entrepreneurial approach) creativity and innovation and entrepreneurial knowledge while for the dependent variables (performance of small business) are profitability and productivity, four hypotheses were postulated and the results derived shows that there is a positive relationship between entrepreneurial approach and performance of small business in Ilorin metropolis Ilorin, Kwara state.
