Abstract

The work examined the Lie and Times of Sheikh Yahya Al-Naffakh (1898-1954). The main objective of the research is to write about his biography i.e. his early life, marriage and family and his contributions as an Islamic scholar. Interviews were held with respective people, data’s were obtained through various means, like oral interviews, radio interviews and different books were consulted in the cause of this research. In the research we learnt about his encounter with emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi 1, and also his appointments as Malamin Hakimi in 3 different local government. The work also states the advent of Islam in Kano, rise and development of Sufism in Kano and also the political and religious structure of Kano.
