AWARENESS AND USE OF REFERENCE SERVICES BY THE MEDICAL STUDENTS IN AMINU KANO TEACHING HOSPITAL MEDICAL LIBRARY KANO.
Abstract
This study investigated the awareness and use of reference services by medical students at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) Medical Library, Kano. The research was motivated by the critical role reference services play in supporting evidence-based practice, academic success, and research endeavors in the medical field, coupled with observations of potential underutilization. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. A structured questionnaire was administered to a sample of 120 respondents, comprising medical professionals, nurses, and final-year medical students.
