ABSTRACT
In the quest to provide an easy medical diagnosis by substituting software systems for skilled people to help in assistance an expert system to diagnose medical conditions is designed and centered on the diagnosis of ailment. A questioner on typhoid and malaria was designed to collect various symptoms by medical expertise and was gathered together using visual basic 6.0 to write the programming while the knowledge gathered together are stored in the knowledge base.
The programmed was modeled and simulated with VB6.0 and it runs on window XP and window 7, it is a case sensitive program where all the symptoms are listed in the system interface and all you have to do is input a capital letter ‘’ YES or NO’’ into the system and it diagnosis the conditions then it tells you what is wrong with you and prescribe what medication to be applied or it refers you to medical practitioner. After so many tests have been carried out it provided various ailment and gave series of results to cure some certain medical conditions like malaria and typhoid.
