EFFECT OF INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELLING ON STUDY HABITS OF ADOLESCENTS SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN IJEBU ODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OGUN STATE.
Abstract
This study investigates the effect of individual and group counseling on the study habits of adolescent secondary school students in Ogun State. A total of one hundred (100) Senior Secondary One (SS1) students from Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area were selected as the sample for this research. The study aims to determine whether these counseling interventions significantly influence the study habits of the students. The research employed descriptive statistics to summarize the data, while regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between the counseling methods and the students' study habits. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights into the effectiveness of individual and group counseling as strategies for improving the academic behaviors of adolescents. The implications of these results will be discussed in the context of enhancing educational practices within secondary schools in Ogun State.
