Abstract

The focus of this project is on the importance of adequate training facilities on the performance of secretaries in Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku. Three (3) research questions were raised and one (1) hypothesis was used for this study. The population of the study consisted of 200 students in the department of office technology and management. The sampling size was 100 students, they were randomly selected for the study. Instrument for the study was designed in three parts (1,2,3). The first part focuses on the instructional facilities available, sections and the third part focused on utilization of ICT facilities. The findings indicated among others that the instructional facilities are fairly adequate while utilization of ICT facilities are moderately utilized. It was recommended that the management of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku should provide the modern machines for the training of office technology and management students for efficiency to be achieved.
