Abstract

ABSTRACT Food insecurity remains a critical challenge in many communities, necessitating innovative approaches to improve food distribution and accessibility. The Constituency Foodstuff Hardship Alleviation Program is a web-based system designed to streamline the process of distributing subsidized food items to beneficiaries efficiently and transparently. The system aims to address the inefficiencies in traditional food aid programs by leveraging Laravel for backend development, MySQL for database management, and HTML & CSS for the frontend interface. This project adopts a community-driven approach to ensure that food reaches the most vulnerable individuals while minimizing fraud and mismanagement. Key functionalities include user authentication, voucher-based food distribution, inventory management, and real-time reporting for administrators. The system enables beneficiaries to register, apply for food assistance, and redeem vouchers at designated stores, while administrators and store managers oversee distribution and inventory updates to ensure reliability and efficiency, the project follows the Incremental Model of software development, allowing iterative testing and improvement. Various testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing, were employed to verify functionality, security, and usability. The results demonstrate that the system enhances transparency, reduces logistical bottlenecks, and improves access to food aid for those in need. This project contributes to the broader goal of poverty alleviation and food security by providing a structured, technology-driven solution for equitable food distribution. Future enhancements could incorporate real-time tracking, mobile app integration, and AI-driven predictive analytics to further optimize food distribution efforts.
