THE IMPACT OF FULLZYME SUPPLEMENTATION ON THE HEMATOLOGICAL INDUCES OF KANO BROWN BUCKS FED EMAILED SUGARCANE WASTE AT VARYING INCLUSION LEVEL
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study investigates the impact of Fullzyme supplementation on the hematological indices of Kano Brown Bucks fed ensiled sugarcane waste at varying inclusion levels (T1, T2, T3, and T4). The results showed significant differences in blood parameters (Table 1). For monocyte (MON) and granulocyte (GRA) counts were higher in T1 and T3 compared to T2 and T4, with values of 2.30a and 0.50a, respectively, for T1 and T3, while T2 and T4 had lower values (0.20c and 0.20b, respectively). Lymphocyte (LYM) percentages were highest in T4 (94.80a) and T2 (91.60b), with T1 and T3 showing lower values (82.50c and 79.40d, respectively). Platelet counts (PLT) were highest in T1 (309.00a) and lowest in T4 (262.00c), while platelet distribution width (PDW) was significantly greater in T3 (16.40a) compared to T4 (12.03d). Additionally, red blood cell count (RBC) was highest in T1 (2.78a) and lowest in T4 (1.65d), with similar trends observed for hemoglobin (HGB) and mean corpuscular volume (MCV). These results highlight the beneficial effects of Fullzyme supplementation on the hematological health of the bucks, suggesting its potential to improve animal health and productivity when feeding low-quality fibrous materials like ensiled sugarcane waste.
