INFLUENCE OF TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT ON THE SUCCESS OF BROADCASTING IN NIGERIA: A STUDY OF DELTA BROADCASTING SERVICES (DBS)
Abstract
This study examines the influence of technological advancement on the success of broadcasting in Nigeria, with specific focus on Delta Broadcasting Services (DBS). The research explores how modern broadcasting technologies such as digital transmission, automation, and online platforms have improved programme quality, audience reach, and operational efficiency. The study adopted a survey research design, using questionnaires as the major instrument for data collection. Findings reveal that technological advancement has significantly enhanced broadcasting effectiveness, audience engagement, and competitiveness of DBS. The study concludes that continuous technological innovation is essential for the sustainability and growth of broadcasting organizations in Nigeria.
