“IMPACT OF MATH HAUSA GAMES , RIDDLES AND JOKES IN ENHANCING MATHEMATICS UNDERSTANDING AMONG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN GWALE LOCAL GOVERNMENT KANO STATE,NIGERIA”
Abstract
ABSTRACT This study investigates the effectiveness of Hausa math games ,jokes and riddles in enhancing mathematics understanding among elementary school students in Gwale Local Government, Kano, Nigeria. A quantitative research design was employed, with a sample of 383 students selected using a random sampling technique. The study used a Mathematics Achievement Test (MAT) to collect data. The results showed a significant improvement in mathematics understanding among students who participated in Hausa math games. The study recommends the integration of Hausa math games into mathematics education in Nigerian schools to improve students' understanding and attitudes towards mathematics.
