AN INDOOR PUBLICITY DISPLAY LIGHT BOX FOR FINE AND APPLIED ARTS, MOUNTAIN TOP UNIVERSITY
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This academic project explores the innovative integration of the Department of Fine and
Applied Arts, Mountain Top University (MTU) with indoor light-box publicity display units. The initiative seeks to bridge artistic expression and promotional strategy by leveraging the
aesthetic and prestige of the arts to enhance visibility and engagement within the university
community. The proposed design involves the installation of a dynamic indoor light-box
display, strategically placed in a high-traffic area across campus to attract students, College, and visitors. Serving as a visual communication tool, the display combines artistic elegance
with functional design elements, including LED back-lighting, high-resolution imagery, and
modular content panels. These panels will showcase a curated selection of student artworks, programme highlights, and announcements of upcoming exhibitions. Disciplines featured
include painting, sculpture, textile design, and digital media—offering a comprehensive
glimpse into the department’s creative breadth. By merging form and function, the light-box
display aims to: Elevate the visibility and prestige of the Department of Fine and Applied
Arts Programme, Foster a deeper appreciation for the arts within the university environment, Inspire prospective students through engaging, high-impact visual storytelling Ultimately, this project affirms the Mountain Top University’s dedication to fostering creativity, innovation, and academic excellence within the arts, while positioning the Department of
Fine and Applied Arts as a dynamic and integral part of campus life. The study concludes
that strategically placed, aesthetically compelling light-box displays serve as powerful tools
for promoting departmental programmes and attracting prospective students—not only to the
Department of Fine and Applied Arts but to the University as a whole.
