Abstract

ABSTRACT activity could open new avenues for utilizing Xylopia aethiopicain the adverse effects of irradiation. This study carried out the DPPH scavenging activity of ethanolic extracts of Xylopia aethiopica. The Xylopia aethiopicawas obtained reported that the plant increases antioxidant defense and protects rats from the solvent. DPPH scavenging assay method was carried out on the ethanolic extracts the formation of a violet which turned yellow. Understanding the scavenging from Otefe-Ogharaand the skin extract extracted using Ethanol as extraction Plants contain numerous antioxidants which help to confer protection against free plants in the form of secondary metabolites. Xylopia aethiopicabelonging to the aethiopicaextract has been reported to possess antioxidant activity. It has been of the Xylopia aethiopicaand the result confirms the presence of antioxidants via genus Xylopia(Annonaceae) is a tropical evergreen tree bearing aromatic seeds.X. radicals associated diseases.
