PRIORITY-BASED TRAFFIC OFFENSE TRACKING SYSTEM
Abstract
Traffic congestion is a growing challenge in Nigeria due to increasing population of vehicle numbers, leading to delays, higher fuel consumption, and pollution. This paper presents a priority-based and traffic offense tracking system that utilizes cameras used to assign go and stop time for vehicles and also dynamically control traffic lights. The system prioritizes vehicles, detects and tracks traffic violations, and ensures efficient traffic flow management, reducing congestion, improving law enforcement, and enhance mobility.
