DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF 2KVA HYBRID SOLAR POWER INVERTER FOR THE DEAN'S OFFICE
Abstract
This project on design, construction and installation of 2KVA hybrid solar power inverter for the
dean's office was done to solve the problem of the inability to store alternating current (AC). Since
this current cannot be stored, therefore Direct current (DC) is stored and with the aid of an inverter it
can be converted into alternating current (AC) when required. This project is arranged in such a way
that the chapter one contains; the introduction aspect of the project, chapter two contains; the
literature review which comprises of the details of the components used in this project and others,
chapter three; research methodology which centers on the diagrams of circuits and sub-circuits of the
design system, chapter for contains; installation, system testing and result which comprises of the
steps and observations experienced during the course of this project. This project revolves around
the electrical and electronics aspect of engineering but in construction of this project the electronics
aspect of engineering is mostly explored, therefore the use of components such as diodes, resistors,
transistors, capacitor, relays e.t.c was required.
