Abstract

This study examines the attitude of top management toward public relations (PR) practices in Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku. Public relations play a crucial role in building mutual understanding between institutions and their stakeholders. The study adopts a survey research design, using questionnaires to collect data from management staff and public relations personnel. Findings reveal that top management generally recognizes the importance of public relations but provides limited institutional support in terms of funding, policy backing, and professional autonomy. The study concludes that management attitude significantly influences the effectiveness of PR practices and recommends improved support and strategic integration of public relations into institutional management.
