Abstract

In this digital era, efficient support services are paramount for academic institutions to provide seamless assistance to their constituents. This project explores the design and implementation of an online intelligent help desk system, focusing on the case of The Polytechnic Ibadan. The existing manual system's challenges, including accessibility issues, inefficiencies, and potential for errors, highlight the need for an innovative solution. Leveraging a combination of programming languages and technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, this project proposes the development of a centralized portal, an automated ticketing system, and a self-service knowledge base. These components collectively aim to enhance user experience, streamline support processes, and ensure data security. Through meticulous analysis, design, and testing, this project aims to transform support services at The Polytechnic Ibadan, offering a user-centric approach that meets the evolving demands of a technology-driven educational environment.
