ACCOUNTING INFORMATION AND PERFORMANCE OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTION IN THE 21ST CENTURY BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT IN NIGERIA.
Abstract
The study examines the relationship between accounting information and the performance of financial institutions in Nigeria using First Bank, Asaba, as a case study. It utilized a survey design with 50 validated respondents and analyzed data via frequency tables, percentages, and chi-square tests. Findings indicate that accounting information satisfies management as a decision-making tool and contributes to organizational profitability.
