Abstract

ABSTRACT This study explores the development and implementation of a cloud-based railway ticket reservation system tailored to the unique needs of Maiduguri Railway Station. The system leverages cloud computing technology to streamline ticketing operations, enhance user experience, and improve overall efficiency. It enables passengers to book tickets conveniently via web and mobile platforms, reducing the dependency on traditional, time-intensive manual booking processes. Key features include real-time seat availability, secure payment integration, and automated notifications, ensuring seamless communication between the railway authority and passengers. The system also incorporates data analytics for improved decision-making, offering insights into passenger trends and operational bottlenecks. By addressing the challenges of scalability, accessibility, and system reliability, this project aims to transform ticket reservation processes and support the modernization of railway services in Maiduguri, contributing to the broader adoption of cloud-based solutions in Nigeria's transportation sector.
