AN ASSESSMENT OF HIGH WOMEN PATRONAGE OF TELENOVELA PROGRAMME CASE OF SABON TASHA COMMUNITY KADUNA

ABSTRACT
Telenovela has become one of the desired programme loved by youth (women) in Sabon Tasha of Kaduna State. Stations compete with each other to show the best telenovela for their viewers to watch or attract other people who do watch their station. More of the youth especially the women, tend to have a special interest in telenovelas which beyond questionable answers we do not understand why women are so much interested in it than men for this reason, the researcher conducted a study on the youth of Sabon Tasha Community of Kaduna State so as to assess the high women patronage of Telenovelaprogramme”. Findings proved that they enjoy it because of what they learn and also to adjust their emotional display.Also, majority claimed it has an impact on their lives and for that reason, they may keep on watching it till they grow old.
