ABSTRACT
This study specifically evaluates the Tensile strength of Metakaolin based concrete using 10 molar concentration of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH). Geopolymer concrete has emerged to be a sustainable alternative to traditional Portland cement concrete, largely due to its lower carbon footprint and enhanced material properties. This study specifically examines the influence of a 10 M NaOH concentration on the tensile strength of concrete samples composed of metakaolin, an aluminosilicate precursor.The results indicate that the inclusion of metakaolin significantly improves the tensilie strength testing all different agea. This enhancement is attributed to the pozzolanic activity of metakaolin,thereby improving the microstructure and mechanical properties of the concrete. The findings suggest that metakaolin based geopolymer concrete activated with 10M Na0H is a possible alternative to the traditional Portland cement concrete,providing both environmental and performance benefits.
