ABSTRACT<br> This project focuses on the design and construction of a home theater system<br> incorporating Bluetooth and auxiliary features. The system consists of a display<br> device, speakers, amplifier, and Bluetooth module, enabling wireless connectivity<br> and streaming capabilities. The design process involved optimizing room<br> dimensions, selecting compatible components, and planning wire management.<br> Construction included installing and configuring the system, ensuring proper<br> safety measures and testing. The resulting home theater system provides an<br> immersive audio-visual experience, enhanced by Bluetooth connectivity and auxiliary<br> features. This study examines the impact of environmental sustainability practices on the profitability of listed oil and gas companies in Nigeria between 2016 and 2024, using Profit After Tax (PAT) as the measure of profitability. The analysis focuses on three environmental components under the ESG framework: Carbon Emissions and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Adoption, and Waste and Pollution Management. An ex-post facto research design was employed, relying on secondary data from audited financial statements, annual reports, and sustainability disclosures of six listed firms. Dichotomous scaling was applied to measure sustainability practices, while statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS through descriptive statistics, correlation, and panel regression. The results indicate that carbon emission and GHG management disclosures show a weak positive association with profitability, while energy efficiency and renewable energy adoption exhibit a significant positive impact. Waste and pollution management also demonstrate a positive link with profitability, though the effect varies across firms. These findings support stakeholder theory, emphasizing that firms responding to environmental concerns are better positioned for long-term profitability. The study provides insights for regulators, policymakers, and investors on the financial relevance of environmental sustainability in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

This study examined audience perception of Oyela; a TNT 102.5 FM news review on national issues (a study of Offa residents). The study was guided by four objectives which are to determine the degree of exposure to ‘Oyela’, a TNT 102.5 FM news review programme amongst the residents of Offa, Kwara State, to ascertain the extent to which ‘Oyela’ influences opinion of Offa residents on national issues, to examine the effect of ‘Oyela’ on the attitude and behaviours of Offa residents towards national issues and to know the degree of effectiveness of ‘Oyela’ in shaping attitude and behaviours of Offa residents towards national issues. Quantitative research approach was employed while survey method was employed. Purposive sampling technique was employed while all the population was used as the sample size using census method. Questionnaire was the instrument used in gathering data for the study. The data gathered were presented and analyzed using frequency distribution table and percentage. The data gathered revealed that TNT 102.5 FM should consider incorporating more interactive elements to further enhance audience participation and engagement with Oyela news review programme. Given the programme’s success in influencing public opinion and promoting civic engagement, TNT 102.5 FM should explore ways to expand its reach to a wider audience, including online streaming and social media platforms, to increase its impact. TNT 102.5 FM should continue to prioritize high-quality content and ensure that the programme remains informative, engaging, and credible. While majority of the respondents affirmed that they do not emulate moral and social advises on Oyela news review programme, the programme can still explore ways to subtly incorporate positive moral and social values in its content to promote positive attitude and behavior among its audience. This study concluded that Oyela's success can be attributed to its ability to provide a platform for diverse voices and perspectives, thereby empowering listeners to make informed decisions and engage in meaningful discussions about national issues. As such, the study recommended that the programme continues to innovate and improve, incorporating more interactive and inclusive elements to further enhance its impact and reach a wider audience.

This research investigates the travel behavior of university students, focusing on a comparative analysis of on-campus and off-campus residents. Examining mode choice, purpose of trip, travel distance, and cost, the study sheds light on the distinctive travel patterns influenced by university campuses, using NAUB as a case study. Students, as key societal influencers, play a pivotal role in shaping attitudes toward sustainable travel. The results, drawn from a pilot survey, provide foundational insights, albeit limited by sample size. An extensive survey is planned to refine statistics and contribute to a comprehensive trip generation model. The study's conclusion underscores the goal of refining existing policies for sustainable transportation modes on campus, guided by detailed surveys involving diverse campus stakeholders. Noteworthy findings include nuances in car usage, weather impact, and gender-based modal preferences. Hurdles identified, such as weather conditions and inconvenient bus services, prompt recommendations for improved infrastructure. Acknowledging limitations, including self-report surveys and regional variations, the research proposes future strategies for enhanced accuracy and broader applicability. Recommendations aim to alleviate barriers to active transportation, offering both short-term and long-term solutions. The study's contribution to knowledge lies in its implications for Urban Planning and Transportation policies, offering insights into the 'market' for transportation services across socio-demographic groups. Anticipating future housing challenges, the research provides valuable input for university policies and informs location decisions for off-campus housing developments. In essence, this study seeks to catalyze positive changes in university travel patterns, fostering sustainability and informed decision-making in transportation policies.

ABSTRACT This study examined the impact of debt burden on economic growth of Nigeria. Specifically, the study determined the impact of public and domestic debt on the economic growth of Nigeria: assessed the effect of external debt on the economic growth of Nigeria and analyzed the relationship public debt and the economic growth of Nigeria. Secondary time series data spanning thirty-three years (1982-2014) was gathered in the study. Data gathered in the study was estimated using descriptive statistics, unit root test, Johansen co-integration test and vector error correction model. Discoveries from the study suggests that external debt exerts a negative long run and short run effect on economic growth of Nigeria and domestic debt was ascertained to exert positive long run and short run effect on economic growth of Nigeria. Based on these findings, the study suggested that policy makers should integrate appropriate measures towards ensuring suitable management of domestic debts; government should ensure that contracted

Nigeria is significantly diverse with an intricate structure of religion language and ethnicity. In<br><br> terms of religion, it is primarily divided between Christianity in the south and Islam in the north.<br><br> Ethnically, Nigeria is home to over 250 ethnic groups, the three dominant tribes are the Hausa<br><br> Fulani in the north, the Yoruba south-west and the Igbo southeast. Linguistically, Nigeria has over<br><br> 500 languages with English as the general language spoken by all, striking difference in religion<br><br> Ethnicity and languages has caused major disparities and conflicts among the major dominant<br><br> tribes in the country throughout the years which has been ongoing since colonialism. Nigeria’s<br><br> political landscape has long been characterized by its ethnic diversity and the challenges that come<br><br> with managing a multi-ethnic federation. While democracy ideally promotes inclusiveness,<br><br> representation, and national unity, the Nigerian experience has often reflected the opposite, with<br><br> elections serving as platforms for the expression of ethno-nationalistic sentiments and the<br><br> entrenchment of ethnic divisions. The 2023 presidential elections brought these issues into sharp<br><br> focus once again, as political campaigns, voter alignment, and post-election discourse were largely<br><br> shaped by ethnic and regional identities rather than national ideology or developmental priorities.<br><br> This paper aims to understand how ethnic and regional alignments influences voters' behavior,<br><br> electoral outcomes in the 2023 presidential elections as well as the role of cultural grievances in<br><br> escalating political conflict during and after elections. The study applies a qualitative form of<br><br> research using secondary sources of data. It also explores strategies for addressing the ongoing<br><br> ethnic conflict in Nigeria.It contributes to the growing body of scholarship on democracy and<br><br> conflict in Africa, particularly in post-colonial multi-ethnic states. Scholars have carried out studies on clash of interests, ranging from cultural clash, cultural imperialism, discrimination, domination, marginalization, stereotypes and related areas. However, it seems not much of the aforementioned issues have been explored in Emmy I U Idegu's Omodoko and Wole Soyinka's Death and the king's Horseman, thus motivating this research on " Clash of interests and Resistance in Emmy I U Idegu's Omodoko and Wole Soyinka's Death and the king's Horseman in a bid to contribute to the ongoing discourse on cultural clash. Contemporary plays show that marginalized societies have been striving and agitating for social justice and equal rights between the marginalized and dominant societies since time immemorial. It is evident that the marginalization the less powered societies has led to conflict and division among societies. Some African societies all over the world has been discriminated on the basis of their power and this has resulted in creating structures that hinder, their cultural identity and participation in activities that ought bring unity, building the beauty in cultural diversity and development in the African society ; this is exacerbated by increase in stereotype placed on some African ethnics which make them submissive and docile. Th believe and actions of the dominant folks relegate the less powered societies to be oppressed and this causes power imbalance. Cultural imperialism has caused the marginalized societies to feel inferior and lost of their cultural heritage to the dominant societies. This study further looks at the the marginalized societies and how they were to resist imperialism and domination. Data for analysis are drawn from the selected primary texts alongside consulted secondary texts. The theoretical framework adopted for this study is the Postcolonial Resistance theory. This theory seeks to strike a balance and social justice between both groups, to advocate for equality and respect one's culture.
